Meet the Duo
🎅
Kris
Santa Claus — jolly, rotund, red-suited. The big half of the duo. He checks the list, pulls the sled, carries the packages, decorates the tree. Kris is the name; Christmas is the game.
🦌
Kringle
Santa’s little reindeer pal — always in his green scarf. Small enough to ride on top of the toy bag (#3) and on top of the wrapped packages (#5). Kringle is the sidekick who steals every scene.
⚠️
2015 #2 Sledding (QX9107) — Underproduced · Hardest to Find in the Series: Multiple sellers confirm the 2015 sledding entry is the most difficult ornament to find in the complete Kringle and Kris set. “Underproduced — hardest to find in the Series!” It is available here at Already Christmas. If you are building the complete five-entry set, securing the 2015 #2 is the most important step.

Santa and His Reindeer Pal — A Different Adventure Every Year

The Kringle and Kris series launched in 2014 with the clearest possible premise: Santa Claus (Kris) and his playful reindeer buddy (Kringle, identifiable by his green scarf) enjoying a different holiday activity together every year for five years. The founding entry (QX9226, 3” × 2¾”, Kristina Gaughran) has them checking the Naughty and Nice list together — a merry undertaking so no one will be missed. The box lists real family names on the list (Ella, Fran, Harper, Jacob, Joe — Kristina Gaughran’s family members), a personal detail tucked into the series opener.

The 2015 sledding entry (#2, QX9107) is the series’ rarest and most sought-after — underproduced, according to multiple collectors, it is the hardest to find. Kris and Kringle on a blue sled, the little reindeer in his green scarf, both looking like they are having the time of their lives. The 2016 entry (#3, QX9064) shifts to Christmas Eve prep: Kringle sits atop Santa’s large green toy bag, the reindeer perched on top like a figurehead. The 2017 entry (#4) finds them decorating the tree together. And in 2018, the series closes with Kris carrying two festive wrapped packages while Kringle takes a ride on top, wearing his signature bright green striped scarf — the duo delivering Christmas together, one last time.

Tips for the Complete Collection

  • 01
Display in numbered sequence — the five activities tell a complete Christmas story in order. The series moves from Christmas preparation (#1, checking the list) through winter fun (#2, sledding) and Christmas Eve prep (#3, loading the toy bag) to Christmas itself (#4, decorating the tree; #5, delivering presents). In sequence the five entries trace the arc of the entire Christmas season from Kris and Kringle’s perspective. The series was designed to be read as a complete story.
  • 02
The 2015 #2 Sledding is the series’ hardest-to-find entry — it’s the key piece for completing the set. Multiple collectors confirm it was underproduced. If you are building the complete five-entry Kringle and Kris collection, the 2015 sledding ornament (QX9107) is the piece to secure first. It is available at Already Christmas.
  • 03
Look for Kringle’s green scarf as the series’ visual thread. Kristina Gaughran put Kringle in his green scarf in every entry, making the little reindeer immediately recognizable across five different scenes. In a display of all five, the green scarf tracks Kringle through the list-checking, the sled, the toy bag, the tree, and the package delivery. It is the series’ visual signature.

Kristina Gaughran put a little reindeer in a green scarf on the Christmas tree in 2014 and called him Kringle — checking the Naughty and Nice list alongside his friend Kris, with real family names on the list. Then the sled in 2015, the blue run, both of them having the time of their lives (and that entry underproduced, the hardest to find). The toy bag in 2016. The tree in 2017. And in 2018, Kris carrying two wrapped presents while Kringle rides on top in his bright green striped scarf — delivering Christmas together, the last adventure of a five-year friendship. All five here.
