Joyful
Angels
Three Hallmark ornaments — the complete Joyful Angels series, all three entries, 1996 through 1998. Sculpted by Joyce Lyle. QEO format: Hallmark's Easter and Spring Keepsake line. Angelic figures designed for spring, Easter, and year-round display. "Will complement all seasons including Spring and Easter décor." Three years. Three angels. The complete series, all here.
QEO Prefix — Hallmark's Easter & Spring Keepsake Format
The Joyful Angels series carries the QEO prefix — Hallmark's Easter and Spring Keepsake format, a specialized line alongside the standard Christmas QX ornaments. QEO ornaments were released for the spring season and designed for Easter, spring, and year-round display. The 1996 entry was part of the Easter Collection; the 1997 entry was marketed as the Spring Collection; and the 1998 final entry was the Collectors Series. Unlike the Christmas-specific QX ornaments, these angelic figures work beautifully year-round — on a spring tree, an Easter display, a bedroom mantel, or as collectible figurines.

Joyce Lyle's Joyful Angels — Spring and Easter on the Hallmark Tree
The Joyful Angels series ran from 1996 through 1998 — three entries, one per year, all sculpted by Joyce Lyle in Hallmark's QEO Easter and Spring Keepsake format. The series was part of Hallmark's broader spring ornament program, which ran parallel to the Christmas Keepsake line and offered collectors angelic and seasonal figures for Easter and spring display. The three entries — numbered #1 (1996 Easter Collection), #2 (1997 Spring Collection), and #3 (1998 Collectors Series, Final) — form a complete, short-run series that concluded at three entries. Each angel is handcrafted with the artisan detail Hallmark brought to its spring line.
For collectors, the Joyful Angels series offers a quiet complement to the Christmas ornament tradition — angels with a spring and Easter sensibility, lighter and more seasonal than the winter-themed figures of the Christmas catalog. Amazon's description captures the appeal: "Will complement all seasons including Spring and Easter décor." The three entries work equally well hanging from an Easter branch arrangement, displayed as figurines on a spring mantel, or tucked into an Easter basket display. Three entries. Three angels. One complete series from the spring side of the Hallmark Keepsake catalog.
Tips for the Collection
-
01These are QEO Spring/Easter ornaments — they work equally well on a spring tree, Easter display, or as year-round figurines. Unlike QX Christmas ornaments, the Joyful Angels QEO series was designed for spring and Easter display and "will complement all seasons including Spring and Easter décor." Display them on an Easter branch arrangement, a spring mantel grouping, a bedroom shelf, or grouped with other angel figurines. They do not need to wait for Christmas.
-
02Display all three in numbered sequence as the complete series they are. The series was numbered specifically: #1 (1996), #2 (1997), #3 Final (1998). In sequence the three angels form a complete collector's set. Display them together as the three-entry complete series — a small but finished collection, all entries present and accounted for.
