Inside
Story
A large ornament with a world inside it. Each Inside Story Keepsake reveals a complete miniature winter scene through a window in its snow-covered exterior — a baby deer and a bunny, a woodland gathering, a quiet snowy moment — visible only when you look in. Four entries across four years, all Keepsake Ornament Club exclusives. The story is on the inside.
✦ Keepsake Ornament Club Exclusives — The Inside Story series was produced exclusively for Hallmark's Keepsake Ornament Club (KOC). The three numbered entries (#1–3, 2016–2018) were KOC member exclusives — available only to club members. The 2019 entry was a KOC Event ornament, released exclusively at Hallmark KOC events. These are among the most difficult entries in the Keepsake catalog to find on the secondary market. ✦
A red snow-covered ornament exterior, 5.1" tall. The window reveals a baby deer and a bunny together inside a miniature winter world — the founding scene of the Inside Story series, Anita Marra Rogers' first diorama for the collection.
The second Inside Story ornament continues the winter diorama format — a new scene inside the ornament's exterior, the same premise as #1 but a completely different world revealed when you look through the window.
The numbered series finale — the third and final KOC member-exclusive Inside Story ornament closes the formal series. Series verification 3F stamped on the ornament.
The rarest entry in the collection — a KOC Event ornament released exclusively at Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Club events in 2019. Not numbered in the official series, not available through regular channels. The most difficult Inside Story to acquire.

The Ornament With a World Inside
The Inside Story series launched in 2016 as a Keepsake Ornament Club exclusive — the most coveted tier of Hallmark Keepsake production, reserved for club members who pay an annual membership fee in exchange for access to ornaments unavailable through any other channel. The format is immediately distinctive: each Inside Story ornament is a large ornament (5.1" tall in the case of the founding entry) with a snow-covered or decorated exterior, and a window or cutout through which a complete miniature winter diorama is visible. The 2016 #1 reveals a baby deer and a bunny inside a miniature winter world — the animals and scene visible only when you hold the ornament and look through the opening. The exterior is the ornament you hang. The interior is the story you find.
Artist Anita Marra Rogers sculpted the series — the same Anita Marra Rogers who created the original 1997 Enchanted Memories Cinderella ornament and has a long history with Hallmark's most technically demanding ornament formats. The Inside Story series is among the more architecturally complex ornaments she has undertaken: not just a figure or a scene but a contained world within a larger object, a diorama that only reveals itself to someone who thinks to look inside. The three numbered entries (2016–2018) were KOC member exclusives. The 2019 KOC Event ornament is the rarest of the four — produced in lower quantities specifically for club events, and now the most difficult Inside Story to find.

Inside Story — 2016 (#1)
The founding Inside Story — a red snow-covered ornament exterior 5.1" tall, and inside, visible through the ornament's window, a baby deer and a bunny in a miniature winter world. Anita Marra Rogers, QXC5131, Keepsake Ornament Club member exclusive. The title says it precisely: the story is inside. The exterior is the ornament you see on the tree. The interior is what you find when you look more closely — two small animals in a winter scene, a diorama at miniature scale, visible only through the window that the exterior ornament contains. The 2016 #1 established this format as both technically demanding and immediately charming. Three more Inside Story ornaments followed.

01Display each ornament where the window faces outward and is visible. The Inside Story series' entire premise is the diorama visible through the ornament's window — if the window faces the tree trunk rather than the room, the inside story is invisible. Hang each ornament on the outer end of a branch, window facing outward, so visitors see both the exterior ornament and the scene inside. The ornament rewards being looked at from the front.

02The 2019 KOC Event Edition is the rarest and most difficult entry to acquire. The three numbered entries (2016–2018) were KOC member exclusives — rare enough. The 2019 entry was available only at KOC events — a subset of club exclusives produced in lower quantities for a smaller audience. All four Inside Story ornaments together are the complete collection, and having the 2019 event edition completes a set that relatively few collectors assembled at the time of original release.
-
03The Inside Story collection is most effective displayed in a line where each ornament's window can be seen in sequence. Four ornaments, four winter scenes — arranged at approximately the same height on adjacent branches, all windows facing outward, the collection creates a series of small windows into different winter worlds. The viewer moves along the branch and looks into each one in turn. It is the closest a Christmas tree ornament has come to functioning as a gallery.
