Ben 10 premiered on Cartoon Network on December 27, 2005 — created by Man of Action (Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, and Steven T. Seagle). The original series followed 10-year-old Benjamin Tennyson, who discovers an alien device called the Omnitrix — a watch-like technology that bonds to his wrist and allows him to transform into one of ten different alien forms, each with unique powers. The show was a massive success for Cartoon Network, winning the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Class Animated Program in 2007, and spawned multiple sequel series, films, and reboots.
The Hallmark Keepsake collection covers the franchise's two middle series. The 2009 ornament represents Ben 10: Alien Force (2008–2010) — the sequel series in which a 15-year-old Ben re-equips the Omnitrix and forms a new team with his cousin Gwen Tennyson and former villain Kevin Levin to fight an alien threat called the Highbreed.
