Edythe Kegrize — The Series' Sole Sculptor, All Three Entries
Edythe Kegrize sculpted all three Beautiful Birdhouse ornaments — the founding 2016 winter blue entry, the 2017 second entry, and the 2018 green/red/white final. The Beautiful Birdhouse series launched in 2016 with Edythe Kegrize's winter blue birdhouse — 5¼ inches tall, not dated, blue and snowflake colors described by The Ornament Shop as looking "glazed with ice." The 2016 birdhouse is the series' most visually distinctive entry — the winter-themed palette (blue, white, snowflakes) gives it a seasonal specificity unusual for a birdhouse ornament, which more typically arrives in warmer spring or garden colors. This one belongs in winter, on a snow-laden tree, catching the light.
The series continued through 2017 (#2) with a different color palette, and concluded in 2018 with Kegrize's third and final entry: green, red, and white — 5 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide, classic Christmas colors for a Christmas ornament.
